I was born at Wintinna Station. My old man (Paddy Ulah) worked at the station. He worked all the places. He was a good stockman. I used to watch my dad riding horses and moving cattle. My mum Lily was from Spinifex, in WA but she came to Indulkana when she was a young girl. My old man was from Mimili, so it’s close. I’ve lived here in Indulkana for most of my life now. I started painting at Iwantja Arts in 2025, so not long ago! I am enjoying coming in each day and working beside the other men, chatting and drinking tea. I do a lot of inma (dance, ceremony), and have worked on some big projects with Iwantja Arts, with other artists, but I have only really used colour for these special things. Using paint on canvas is different for me, but I
canvas and have a good laugh.
