Biography
Sara Maiorino is a photographic artist and fine art photographer based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Their commercial practice is grounded in ethical visual storytelling, showcasing the arts in the Northern Territory.
Maiorino’s arts practice uses a conceptual documentary approach to celebrate the way people resist systems through the exploration of belonging, nostalgia and community. Their major projects include an exploration of the gender labour disparity in Australia, trans and non binary futures, the surveillance industry and Italian Australian diaspora.
