"Twempere Rarre means windy sandhills in our language (Kaytetye). Every time I do painting, I'm thinking about what's outside there, in the sand hills. They are important to me.
Bush tucker, bush medicine and everything fresh we get from the sandhills.
Somtimes we go out there and get bush leaves to smoke our newborn babies.
I'm thinking about my family too. Most of my family are artists and when we go out hunting we get stories from them.
The colours they're from sunset. I like it when its cold, wind blowing. And the sand, blowing this way and that way."
